The Crime
On November 30, 2022, 31-year-old Tanner Horner, a contractor working for FedEx, abducted precious Athena Strand (age 7) from her yard. She was outside playing at her Paradise, Wise County, Texas home. She died that day.
He kept her in his FedEx Van and went to the Trinity River where he s-assaulted her and killed her. There he threw her body into the river.
He Pled Guilty
On Monday April 6, 2026, Tanner Horner pled guilty, and the trial is for his sentencing. Will he get the death penalty or will he get life without parole?
The Trial – Day 5 is tomorrow, April 13.
