I’m working hard to finish my book Unlikely Victims while also covering Rebecca Beard’s story. I was looking over the disclaimer for my book and realized I need one for this story (actually, all my stories). So, going forward, this or something similar will be standard for all my projects.

DISCLAIMER

  1. Consider everything  here to be prefaced by “allegedly.”
  2. The events stated may not be accurate. The intent is to be accurate, but we are dealing with a very old crime.
  3. Even though some names have been stated in police records, they may have been changed. Just because we believe it’s a logical conclusion that a certain thing happened or someone did something doesn’t mean they did. Names appearing with a color as the last name have been changed, except where annotated.
  4. No one in this story has been found guilty of a crime except Paul G. Taylor, Jr.
  5. The materials created by Vintage Texas Crimes are not original sources; they are derivative and may be skewed by personal views.
  6. This material is for entertainment and should not be relied upon as anything more than works of fiction.
  7. Warning: Do not read this series on the Murder of Rebecca Beard or any content produced by Vintage Texas Crimes if you are “triggered” by negative or violent acts.
